The National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) has condemned the continuation of the violations by the parties to the conflict in southeastern Tripoli in the areas of Salah al-Din, Khallet al-Furjan, Wadi al-Rabi, and Ein Zara.
In a statement, the NCHRL explained that the conflicting groups had made of the property of citizens a military target, by stationing in the residential areas and using them as a base for launching missiles, sniping, theft and armed robbery.
The human rights group held the Presidential Council and the Ministry of Interior the legal and humanitarian responsibility for ensuring the security and protection of citizens and their property from organized crime groups, by re-establishing security and stability, resisting crime and prosecuting the perpetrators and bringing them to justice, according to the statement.
