Libya's Presidential Council Head, Muhammad Menfi, pledged on Wednesday to continue the PC's efforts towards achieving a consensus based on national participation and ownership.
Menfi's remarks came during a meeting with the French President's Special Envoy to Libya, Paul Soller, and French Ambassador, Mustafa Miharaje.
A statement by the PC said the two sides discussed the political situation in Libya following the recent briefing of the UN head of mission in Libya before the Security Council.
Menfi praised the relationship between the two countries and France's support for the PC to achieve stability and preserve the cease-fire in Libya and its hosting of the 5+5 Joint Committee's meetings.
