The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has met with the head and members of the Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections and a number of government officials, to follow up the work of the committee to complete the elections in the remaining municipalities that were not elected.
PM Dbeibah stressed the need to complete the municipal council elections, saying that the election of these councils confirms the commitment to the democratic path.
He also stressed that the Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections may have a national and historical role in holding the upcoming Parliament elections, if the High National Elections Commission is unable to implement this national entitlement, which was delayed due to unrealistic reasons, as he put it.
