The Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has reiterated to the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, Doha’s steady position in support of the unity and stability of Libya as well as the achievement of the desires of the Libyan people for security and development.
The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister also stressed Tuesday Doha’s support for the Libyan political process and pertaining Security Council resolutions, Qatar's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Libyan HoR Speaker arrived in Qatar on Monday upon an invitation from the Qatari Shura Council. This was the Speaker's second official visit to Doha as he visited Qatar in September 2022, when he discussed at the time with the Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani the situation in Libya, regional and international issues, in addition to boosting bilateral cooperation.
