Attiya Al-Kaseh Hospital in the city of Kufra has announced the death of the child Abdulkarim Boubashir, 12 years old, as a result of a scorpion sting.
The hospital said in a statement on its official Facebook page that it was the second death recorded from scorpion stings this year.
In a previous announcement, the hospital confirmed that it receives cases infected with scorpions on a daily basis in the adult and children’s departments, and they often suffer from highly toxic infections.
