A group of Libyans has been arrested for joining an organization advocating for Christianity in Libya after they converted to the new religion themselves.

The Internal Security Agency said the Libyans, among other foreigners, were working with the US-based organization "Assemblies Of God", which is preaching Christianity.

"The organization is a religious institution based in the US and has established more than 13,000 churches across the globe, the authority said.

It underscored that it would adopt a zero-tolerance policy for anyone found practicing evangelization in Libya.
