Mohamed Takala, President of the High Council of State (HCS), arrived in Qatar on Sunday for discussions with Qatari officials, including the Speaker of the Shura Council.
According to the HCS media office, Takala led a delegation that engaged in talks at the Qatari Shura Council. The visit aims to bolster cooperation between the two councils, promoting mutual interests for both nations, the HCS added.
During his visit, Takala met with Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, the Deputy Speaker, the Chairman of the Qatari-Libyan Friendship Committee, and the heads of the council’s permanent committees.
In a related development, Qatari Defence Minister Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah, speaking earlier today in Turkey, reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting a political and peaceful resolution that upholds Libya’s sovereignty.
