The Association of Victims and Missing Persons of Tarhuna welcomed the verdict issued against a member of the Kaniyat militia involved in crimes committed in Tarhuna.
Association member Musab Bukalish told Libya Al-Ahrar that the victims' families were relieved at the execution of the judgment. He affirmed their support for the efforts of the Attorney General's office to achieve similar verdicts against all those involved in such crimes and to bring the fugitives to justice.
Bukalish noted that the families have allowed the judicial process to take its course from day one.
The Attorney General's office recently announced the issuance of a death sentence against one of the members of the armed group that controlled the city of Tarhuna before 2020.
