Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, received the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, on Thursday in her first official meeting after formally assuming her duties.
Dbeibah welcomed the UN envoy, wishing her success in her mission and reaffirming the GNU support for the UN efforts to enhance stability in Libya, achieve electoral milestones, and bring an end to transitional phases.
For her part, Tetteh expressed her hope that the UN would play a positive role in supporting Libya and assisting the Libyan people in achieving their aspirations for stability and development.
