The Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, said that Haftar has put his allies from foreign countries in an embarrassing and shameful position after the discovery of murdered women and children, not to mention the matter of mass graves left by his militias in Tarhuna.

Akar added, in a TV interview with the BBC, that these crimes should confirm to the entire world that Haftar’s foreign allies and supporters are, at best, hostile to humanity.

He continued by saying that the Turkish presence in Libya will continue as long as the Government of National Accord (GNA) requires it and is firmly based on several legitimate agreements with the internationally recognized GNA, to provide consultations and military training.
