The head of Fuel and Gas Crisis Committee at Brega Oil Marketing Company, Milad Al-Hajrisi, said on Friday that negotiations by dignitaries and officials had succeeded in releasing two truck drivers after being kidnapped for days in south-west Libya while transporting a shipment of fuel to the city of Sabha.

Al-Hajrisi explained that the two trucks were not yet returned by the armed hijackers, saying that the efforts were still ongoing to retrieve the missing trucks.

He added that Brega Oil Company honored the drivers who participated in the process of transporting fuel shipments, which is estimated at approximately one million liters, designed to contribute to ending the fuel shortage suffered in the southern region.
