The UN envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily discussed Friday in Khartoum with the Sudanese Foreign Minister, Ali Al-Sadiq, the ongoing steps to expel foreign mercenaries, militias and forces from Libya.

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the discussion included explanation from Bathily about his initiative for political stability in Libya through gathering all Libyan parties ahead of holding elections by the end of the year. 

Al-Sadiq reiterated the importance of dialogue among Libyan parties to end disagreement and achieve stability, confirming Sudan's support for security stability in Libya.
