Chargé d'Affairs at the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, has offered his country's support for managing and protecting borders and combating illegal immigration in Libya, in addition to supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to secure the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
This came during his meeting with Interior Minister Imad Al-Trabelsi on Wednesday at the ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, where they discussed US support for the ministry efforts to enhance security, stability and security arrangements in the capital, Tripoli.
The US Charge d'Affaires praised the Interior Ministry's efforts to support security and stability, stressing his country's keenness to continue cooperation in order to achieve stability in the region.
