The UN Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, discussed plans for next week’s final round of talks of the Joint Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) and High Council of State (HCS) with the HoR Speaker Aqila Saleh in Cairo with the aim of establishing the constitutional framework needed to take Libya to comprehensive national elections as soon as possible.

Williams said on Twitter that she had the chance to brief the Speaker on a series of meetings held in Tunis on Tuesday, including of the international Security Working Group on Libya which featured discussions with the Joint Military Commission (5+5) and with the international community, in which they voiced their unified support for finalizing work on the constitutional track.
