The Municipality of Benghazi has announced the launch of the new Benghazi International Airport project in the Teka area, west of the city.
The new airport includes 12 gates, utilities, a free zone, air cargo and transit infrastructure.
The project is implemented by the Emirati Terminal Holding Company and the National Development Agency, under the supervision of the parallel government.
Benina Airport in Benghazi is planned to remain in service for domestic flights and an air base after the completion of the project.
