The Libyan National Center of Meteorology expected no change in the weather today in most areas of the country. However, northwestern regions will be affected tomorrow, Friday, by active northwesterly wind, causing a drop in temperatures with an increase in clouds, while active southwesterly winds, beginning tomorrow, will affect the northeastern regions, causing an increase in temperatures and Raising dust in some places.
It also expected, in its daily bulletin, that temperatures would drop in most areas of northern Libya on Saturday, while weather would remain unchanged in the southern regions.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Thursday, 18 April 2024 for the following regions of the country as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds will appear over the whole area, and will increase tomorrow
- Wind: North-easterly and south-westerly inland, turning tomorrow to north-westerly and active tomorrow.
Temperature: Ranges in coastal areas between (20-28°C) and in internal areas are expected to range between (30-34) and will record a decrease tomorrow.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are expected to increase from time to time over the area.
- Wind: Northwesterly and active southwesterly tomorrow, wind speed could reach (50) km/hour, causing dust in some areas.
- Temperature: Ranging between (20-27°C), and expected to gradually increase tomorrow, but it will decrease on Saturday.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear over the areas.
- Wind: South-easterly, south-westerly to variable in direction, with light speed.
- Maximum temperatures: Ranging between (31-34 °C) with a gradual increase expected tomorrow in most areas.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds.
- Wind: Moderate northwesterly to northeasterly.
- Maximum temperatures: Ranging between (29-33 °C).
