The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected that weather conditions will be rather moderate in the western regions, while it is volatile in most of the eastern regions as a result of being affected by southeasterly wind that causes dust and sand, especially in the regions of the Gulf and the Benghazi Plain, with relatively high temperatures during the day, which will decrease starting Tuesday in these regions.
The NCM expected, in its daily bulletin, that clouds would increase over the northwestern regions on Tuesday, interspersed with scattered rain.
The expected weather conditions in Libya, Sunday, 28 April 2024, are as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase on Tuesday over the areas, interspersed with scattered rain.
Wind: Northeasterly to northerly, varying in direction, light and moderate in speeds. Today, it will be southeasterly active over Sirte and its outskirts.
- Temperature: Ranges between (21-27 °C). However, it is high today in Sirte and its surroundings, recording between (34-36°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds over the area.
- Wind: Southeasterly to easterly, active speed today, causing dust and sand to be raised.
- Temperature: High in the areas of the Gulf, Ajdabiya, and Benghazi, ranging between (34-37°C). It will be (24-26°C) in the rest of the regions, an increase will also be recorded tomorrow in most of the regions.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds and to increase on Tuesday, interspersed with scattered rain.
- Wind: Southeasterly to northwesterly this evening.
- Temperature: Ranging between (37-39 °C) is expected to increase Friday.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Northeasterly to southeasterly active at times, causing dust and sand to stir up in some places
- Temperature: Ranging between (34-37 °C).
