Efforts to safeguard Gharyan's cultural heritage have gained momentum as the Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), seeks to revitalise the city's historical treasures.
Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries Nasr Al-Din Al-Fazani convened with Gharyan's municipal leaders to explore avenues for enhancing tourism and preserving the city's cultural legacy.
At a meeting held in Gharyan, attended by representatives from TIKA, discussions focused on activating training centres and implementing educational programs aimed at preserving traditional industries and artisanal crafts.
Additionally, plans were discussed for the potential rehabilitation and operation of a training centre dedicated to traditional industries in Gharyan, with the collaboration of TIKA experts.
The meeting underscored the importance of leveraging TIKA's global expertise and network to implement joint initiatives to promote tourism and revitalise Gharyan's cultural heritage.
