Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah met in his office on Sunday with the British Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff Air Marshal Harvey Smyth in the presence of British Ambassador Martin Longden.

‎According to Hakomitna media platform, the meeting touched on enhancing military cooperation between Libya and the United Kingdom, supporting and building Libyan military capabilities, and cooperating in the fields of training and development.

‎Dbeibah stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership with the United Kingdom in the military field, with the aim of raising the efficiency of Libyan institutions.

Smyth renewed the United Kingdom's readiness to enhance cooperation in the field of military training and rehabilitation, in order to achieve stability and build defense institutions.

‎The meeting was attended from the Libyan side by the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, along with the Director of the Minister of Defense's Office and the Prime Minister's Advisor.
