Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah received in his office on Sunday afternoon the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo.
The Prime Minister's media office reported that the two sides discussed the political developments and events in Libya, in addition to the importance of pushing the political process forward in order to hold parliamentary and presidential elections according to fair and just laws, and unifying international as well as local efforts to support stability in the country.
Dbeibah briefed DiCarlo on the efforts made by his government to improve the security situation in Tripoli, including enhancing security, releasing those illegally detained, strengthening the rule of law and achieving justice.
During the meeting, the two parties expressed the importance of supporting the efforts of the United Nations Mission to achieve sustainable stability in Libya, and to facilitate the political transition process through dialogue and national reconciliation.
