The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Emad Al-Trabelsi, addressed the security units stationed in state-owned locations and institutions' headquarters to quickly evacuate them within 24 hours.
Al-Trabelsi called for handing over the headquarters and institutions affiliated with the state to the Tripoli Security Directorate.
He was addressing the agencies stationed in 20 headquarters inside the capital, Tripoli, especially (Riqata, Triq Al-Sikka Headquarters, the Presidential Guard Headquarters, the Cabinet Office on Triq Al-Sikka), in compliance with the Prime Minister’s decision to form a supreme security committee to oversee the security of Tripoli.
He also circulated to the heads of the Cabinet Office, the Audit Bureau, the Administrative Control and Anti-Corruption Authorities, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya the necessity of cooperating with the Ministry of Interior to hand over, secure, and guard their headquarters to the Tripoli Security Directorate.
The Interior Minister announced earlier the launching of a plan to secure the capital, which consisted of three tracks: the return of all security formations to their headquarters and the evacuation of armed units from them, limiting security checkpoints on the roads to the Ministry's units, in addition to securing public state headquarters and state institutions.
