The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected a marked rise in temperatures starting tomorrow across all parts of Libya.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Saturday, 18 May 2024, and over the next few days as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms this morning from (Zwara to Tripoli).
- Wind: Easterly, southeasterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranges between (36-41 °C) in most areas, and is expected to record a marked increase tomorrow.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds, increasing at times.
- Wind: Moderate to active southerly to southeasterly, causing dust and sand to spread over some areas.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (30-38°C) and not expected to exceed (42 °C) in the Gulf.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds, increasing from time to time in some areas.
- Wind: Southeasterly to southwesterly, moderate to active speed, causing dust and sand to stir up, and horizontal visibility to decrease at times.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (40-42 °C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear with some clouds appearing.
- Wind: Moderate to active northeasterly to southeasterly, causing dust and sand to stir up.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-42 °C).
