The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected the temperature to remain high today in (the northeastern regions - Sirte, Bani Walid, Al-Qurayyat, Mizda, Abunjim, and the southern regions), where the maximum temperature in these regions ranges between (40-47°C), while it is moderate in most regions of the northwest, where the maximum temperature is to range between (26-32°C) though with relatively high humidity in these areas.
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its daily bulletin that the temperature would drop as of tomorrow in the northern regions including most regions of the country on Saturday.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, for Thursday, June 13, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Changing in direction, light to moderate speed southeasterly, gradually turning from the evening northerly to northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (26-30°C) in most coastal areas with relatively high humidity, and between (34-45°C) in the rest of the regions, reaching today (47°C) in Abu Najim. However, it will record a marked decrease tomorrow in most areas.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear.
- Wind: Changing in direction, southeasterly, light to moderate speed, gradually turning from the evening to northerly - northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (37-45°C) , in most areas, and is expected to record a marked decrease tomorrow in (Ras Lanuf - Brega - Benghazi - Shahat - Derna), and Saturday includes the rest of the regions.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear
- Wind: Light northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-43°C). It will decrease tomorrow in Ghadames.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear.
- Wind: Moderate northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (41-45°C).
