The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected chances of rain from time to time in the northern regions of the country, especially the northwest, accompanied by cells of thunderclouds, and wind is southeasterly today in the Gulf and the southeast, stirring up dust, while they will be northwesterly, brisk, and relatively cold tomorrow, with a markable drop in temperatures in most northern areas.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Wednesday, 08 May 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: scattered rain would continue from time to time in the areas of Ras Jadir up to Sirte, the Jafara Plain and the Nafusa Mountain, especially in coastal areas.
- Wind: Northeasterly to northwesterly moderate, but it will be active tomorrow.
- Temperature: Ranges between (22-27°C) and will record a slight decrease tomorrow.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase over areas of the Gulf and the Benghazi Plain up to Emssad, with a chance of scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas.
- Wind: Moderate to active southeasterly winds, stirring dust over some areas of the Gulf and the interior, it will turn to westerly - northwesterly active tomorrow.
- Temperature: Ranges between (23-29°C), it could increase up to 34°C in the Gulf, recording a decrease tomorrow in most areas.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds.
- Wind: Moderate northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (34-38 °C), expected to drop tomorrow.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds will appear over the area.
- Wind: Southeasterly, moderate to active, causing dust and sand to be stirred up.
- Temperature: Ranging between (32-38 °C), expected to rise tomorrow.
