The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected that clouds will continue to increase from time to time over the northern regions of the country, especially over the northwest, interspersed with scattered rain that may be good in some places. The wind is northwesterly over most regions of the country and is active over the northern regions, with a markable decline in temperatures, especially over the western regions of Libya. The decline tomorrow, Friday, includes most areas of the southeast, while it remains relatively high in Kufra, until it decreases on Saturday.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Thursday, May 09, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Cloudy from time to time, especially over the coastal areas, interspersed with scattered rain that may be good in some places.
- Wind: Moderate to active northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (20-25°C) in most areas.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds, increasing at times later this evening, with light rain falling over the Green Mountain regions.
- Wind: Westerly to northwesterly, moderate to active, especially over the Gulf region and the Benghazi Plain, and would be moderate to active southwesterly at Tobruk and its surroundings at the beginning of the day.
- Temperature: Ranges between (23-26°C). However, relatively high at the beginning of the day in Tobruk, reaching (34°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds increase over the area.
- Wind: Northerly to northwesterly moderate, turning to northeasterly tomorrow.
- Temperature: Ranging between (29-36 °C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds increase at times over the oases and are few in the areas of Sarir, Tazirbu and Kufra.
- Wind: Southwesterly to northwesterly at moderate speed, active in the evening over Jalo and Sarir. They gradually turn to be northeasterly tomorrow.
- Temperature: Ranging between (34-39 °C), expected to record a markable decrease tomorrow in most areas.
