The National Meteorological Center (NMC) expected the weather to remain hot in the northeastern and southern regions, where the maximum temperature is expected to range between (36-43°C), while the weather is moderate in most regions of the northwest and the far eastern coast, where maximum temperature expected to range between (25-31°C).
The NCM expected in its daily bulletin that thunderclouds would increase today over (Sirte and its vicinity - Al-Qurayyat - Bani Walid and its vicinity - the Gulf regions) with the possibility of light rain.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, for Sunday, June 02, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds, increasing at times over the area of (Sirte and its surroundings - Qurayyat), accompanied by thunderstorms and scattered rain.
- Wind: Moderate northwesterly will be active at times.
- Temperature: Ranges between (25-30 °C) in coastal areas, and it will be high today in Sirte and its neighbouring areas, reaching up to (42°C) , and it will be between (33-38°C) in interior areas, and expected to decline as of tomorrow.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds that sometimes increase over the Gulf region with the possibility of scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by rain, Cells of thunderclouds.
- Wind: Moderate east-southeast wind.
- Temperature: Ranges in Gulf regions and the Benghazi Plain until Emssad between (36-44°C), moderate on the far eastern coast not exceeding (26°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds increase over the Jufra areas, accompanied by thunderstorms and light rain, while clouds are few over Sebha, Ghat, Ghadamis, and Hamada.
- Wind: Southeasterly and southwesterly, turning in the evening to moderate northwesterly wind.
- Temperature: Ranging between (39-42°C), in most areas.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear.
- Wind: Moderate to brisk easterly and southeasterly at times.
- Temperature: Ranging between (41-44 °C).
