The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected that the temperature will be moderate in most regions of the country, with relatively active northern wind in the northeastern region, while they remain high today in the regions of the far south, but are expected to decline tomorrow there. Clouds are increasing today over the Green Mountain, and the regions of the far southwest Ghat and its vicinity, Al-Jufra - Ubari) accompanied by thunderstorms with the possibility of light rain.
The NCM expected, in its daily bulletin, that temperature would record a gradual increase in the northwestern regions from the beginning of the week, and that the rise would be marked in these regions by the middle of the week.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, for Thursday, June 06, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Moderate northwesterly, but expected to vary in direction tomorrow with light-speed.
- Temperature: Ranges between (25-31 °C) in most areas, recording an increase from Saturday.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are increasing today over the Gulf regions and the Benghazi Plain up to Emsaad, especially on the heights of Jabal Al-Akhdar, with the possibility of light rain that may be accompanied by thunderstorms.
- Wind: Northwesterly moderate to active.
- Temperature: Ranges in most areas between (27-33°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are increasing over the areas of Al-Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames, and Hamada, accompanied by thunderstorms today in (Ghat and its vicinity - Ubari - Al-Jufra), with the possibility of scattered rain.
- Wind: Moderate northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (36-42°C). It will record a decline tomorrow.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Moderate northeasterly to northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (41-45 °C). Expected to decline as of tomorrow.
