The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected moderate temperatures in the northwestern regions, with a slight increase in the northeastern areas.
According to the daily bulletin issued by the center, the maximum temperature is expected to rise in most western regions, especially in the interior, over the next two days.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Thursday, 30 May 2024, is as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northeasterly, moderate in speed, turning from tomorrow evening to easterly, then southeasterly, moderate to active at times, which may lead to stirring up dust.
- Temperature: Ranges between (24-28 °C) in the coastal areas, and between (29-34 °C) in the rest of the regions, and a gradual increase will be recorded over the next two days, especially in the interior.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Southwesterly, moderate in speed, active tomorrow in Tobruk and the far eastern coast, turning tomorrow to moderate northerly to northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (30-37°C) is expected to decrease tomorrow.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Sparsely cloudy, increasing from time to time in some areas.
- Wind: Changing in direction to southeasterly wind.
- Temperature: Ranging between (37-40°C), an increase expected over the next two days.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partially covered with clouds, accompanied by cells of thunderclouds.
- Wind: Northeasterly to variable in direction, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (35-39 °C).
