The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected clouds to increase this afternoon over the northwestern regions, interspersed with light to moderate rain over the area extending from Ras Ijdir to the east of Tripoli – the interior- the Nafusa Mountain regions - Ghadames and Hamada, accompanied by thunderstorms at times, which may be good in some places, including tomorrow morning. Chance of scattered rain in areas extending from eastern Tripoli to Misrata.
The NCM expected that the weather will remain unchanged in the rest of the country. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Monday, 30 April 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase as of noon today in the areas of Ras Jadir to Sirte, the Al-Jafara Plain, and the Nafusa Mountain, with a chance of scattered rain on the coast from Ras Jadir to the east of Tripoli - the Western Mountain areas, accompanied by thunderstorms at times, and they may be good in some places.
- Wind: Northwesterly to southwesterly, moderate westerly, active at times in some areas, turning tomorrow into moderate northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (22-29°C) in most areas.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds, increasing tomorrow in some areas.
- Wind: Moderate southeasterly to easterly, active today in some regions of the Gulf and Benghazi Plain. It will be northeasterly moderate in speed over the rest of the region.
- Temperature: ranges between (28-35°C) in the Gulf, and Benghazi, and between (24-29°C in the rest of the region.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds expected to increase over the areas of Al-Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames and Al-Hamada, with scattered rain falling accompanied by thunderstorms over Ghadames and Al-Hamada.
- Wind: Westerly to northwesterly moderate speed over Ghadames and Hamada, while they are southeasterly to southerly, moderate to brisk at times, causing dust and sand in the rest of the areas. It becomes gradually moderate northeasterly to easterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (31-40 °C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Southeasterly to easterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (31-40 °C).
