The Libyan authorities have repatriated scores of Bangladesh nationals who have entered the country illegally, noting that other flights will carry illegal migrants of different nationalities back to their home country by the end of the week.

The head of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, Colonel Muhammad Al-Khoja, said that since he assumed office, the issue of illegal immigrants was the focus of their work, stressing that it would remain a priority to the agency.

By the end of this week and next week, the agency will deport large African and Asian migrant groups who have entered Libyan territory without legal documents, Al-Khoja said.

He thanked the concerned diplomatic missions and embassies for what he said was their valuable cooperation in facilitating coordination procedures and issuing the necessary travel documents for the immigrants awaiting deportation.
