Labor Ministry

The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation of the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed, and the Minister of Expatriates Welfare and Employment in Bangladesh, Imran Ahmed, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to facilitate employment procedures and enhance cooperation between Libya and Bangladesh.

Al-Abed and Ahmed met in Tripoli in the presence of the ambassador of Bangladesh to Libya, and other officials from the two countries, as Al-Abed reaffirmed the bilateral relations, and explained that the MoU came within the framework of organizing the recruitment process for Bangladeshi workers so that it takes place through the procedures of the expatriates digital (online) platform to ensure that workers are not exploited or exposed to fraud.

Ahmed hailed the cooperation between the governments of the two countries in many areas, including strengthening cooperation to organize the recruitment of qualified workers from Bangladesh to Libya in accordance with the legislation and laws in force in both countries, stressing the importance of the role of the Ministry of Labor and what it is doing for Bangladeshi workers in Libya.
