The Egyptian Businesspeople Association revealed a Libyan proposal to establish a joint Libyan-Egyptian bank and a logistical free zone near the joint Salloum border crossing, adding in a statement on Sunday that the delegation of the Libyan Business Owners Council demanded, during a meeting, activating the trade agreements signed between Libya and Egypt and resolving the problems of the transfer of individuals and funds between the two sides.

The Head of the Egyptian Businessmen Association, Ali Essa, also stressed that there are many areas and real opportunities that could represent a new starting point between the two countries, while the statement said that the Libyan delegation had proposed forming a joint committee between the Council and the Egyptian Association, and also invited the Association to organize a business trip to Libya during the coming period to learn about opportunities for trade exchange and increase investment movement between Egypt and Libya. 

An expanded meeting between the Libyan Association and the delegation of the Libyan Business Owners Council discussed opportunities for joint investment and commercial cooperation, and paving the way for Egyptian companies to rebuild Libya, the first phase of which is estimated at a total investment of 120 billion dollars.
