Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah arrived to the Chadian capital, N'Djamena, to attend the ceremony to swear in the Chadian President, and he was received by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Chad.
This visit comes in response to the invitation extended by the President of Chad, Mahamat Deby Itno (Deby), to attend the ceremony.
Deby Itno took power after his father Idriss Deby Itno was killed fighting rebels in 2021 after ruling the country for three decades.
In his first presidential address, Deby Itno said his government would focus on boosting Chad’s agricultural and farming sectors, and investing in education, access to water and healthcare.
