The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, arrived on Wednesday evening in Chadian capital, N'Djamena, and was received by Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby.

Menfi congratulated Deby on his victory in the presidential elections that Chad witnessed at the beginning of May, stressing “the depth of the relationship that brings together the two African countries,” according to a statement issued by Menfi's media office.

Chadian President Deby expressed his appreciation for the visit and wished Libya would reach a stage of stability through free and transparent elections in which all Libyans participate, stressing the continuation of consultations with Menfi in all regional and international circles.

Last Thursday, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah participated in the inauguration ceremony of Deby as President of the Republic of Chad, after winning the presidential elections held on May 6th.

Dbeibah extended stressed at the time the necessity of joint work, cooperation between the two countries, and coordination in light of the circumstances that regional and African countries are going through.
