President Mohamed Menfi of the Presidential Council (PC), Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aqilah Saleh, and Khalifa Haftar have expressed their willingness to participate in the dialogue proposed by UN envoy Abdoulaye Bathily.

The tripartite agreed to join the dialogue on the condition that no party is excluded and that the concerns of both sides are considered.

According to Haftar's forces Information Office, a meeting took place involving Haftar, Menfi, and Aqilah in the presence of the head of Egyptian intelligence, Major General Abbas Kamel.

In the meeting, the group emphasized the importance of fostering a balanced solution within Libya that aligns with the Libyan people's aspirations and hopes for holding simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections.

The tripartite group urged the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to establish common ground to ensure the success of the dialogue.

On Saturday, informed sources reported a meeting in Cairo between Menfi, Aqilah, and Haftar to align their positions regarding Bathily's initiative for a five-party dialogue, which also includes the High Council of State (HCS) and PM Abdulhamid Dbeibah.
