The Public Prosecution has ordered imprisonment of officials from the Agricultural Police and the Municipality of Qasr Khiar, after they were accused of forging official papers to sell 200 hectares of public forest land.

The statement issued by the prosecution stated that investigations revealed the involvement of seven defendants in the process of cutting down forest trees and bulldozing their soil in preparation for seizing the land.

It turned out that one of the accused sold the plot of land using forged papers containing false information about the area and boundaries of the land. Investigations also revealed collusion between the buyer and officials in the Agricultural Police and the Qasr Khiar Municipality.

The prosecution explained that the imprisonment order included all those involved, and a decision was made to clear the land of signs of invasion in preparation for handing it over to the competent authority.
