Palestine applauded on Monday Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah's statements regarding normalization with the Zionist entity.
In a statement issued Monday, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude for the position indicated by Prime Minister Dbeibah during his visit to the Palestinian Embassy in Tripoli.
Dbeibah had affirmed to Palestine's ambassador Libya's unequivocal support for the Palestinian people's legitimate rights and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Palestinian ministry considered the reactions of the Libyan people towards the covert meeting between FM Al-Manqoush and her Israeli counterpart as a reflection of the Libyan nation's and its institutions' solid support for the Palestinian cause.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said it refrained from commenting on the meeting news, which was published by the Zionist entity's foreign ministry until the Libyan authorities clarified the state's official positions to avoid any disagreement or misinterpretation of what happened.
It expressed its gratitude for Dbeibah's visit to the embassy to reiterate Libya's stand on the Palestinian cause from its headquarters.
