The Ministry of Planning of the Government of National Unity signed an agreement with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) to enhance bilateral cooperation and support development projects across various sectors.
According to the Ministry of Planning, both parties agreed to sign a joint cooperation framework aimed at achieving sustainable development goals and promoting development projects in Libya.
This partnership includes efforts to strengthen cooperation and strategic partnership between the two parties in the field of sustainable development, contributing to comprehensive development and improving economic and social conditions in the country.
The agreement will also focus on providing support and collaboration in setting specifications and standard criteria, as well as training specialized technical personnel in inspection and conformity assessment for all products. This aims to ensure compliance with international standards and enhance the quality of products and services in the Libyan market.
The agreement seeks to improve the provision of development-related services at both the national and local levels by developing work mechanisms and enhancing institutional capacities, ensuring greater efficiency and effectiveness in implementing development projects. It also includes support for implementing energy efficiency standards to promote sustainability and optimize resource consumption.
