Libyan Crime Watch said that Radaa (Deterrence) Apparatus had kidnapped a prosecutor at the military prosecutor's office in Tripoli named "Farouq bin Saied", adding in a statement that three gunmen from the apparatus in civilian cars abducted bin Saied on June 26. 

Libyan Crime Watch added that the 51-year-old prosecutor was kidnapped from Al-Bifi area in Tripoli while he was with his children, and then he was taken to Mitiga prison. 

The rights body called for a halt of targeting members of judicial bodies and providing them with the necessary protection while performing their legal duties, ensuring that such violations against them are not repeated, and holding behind the violations accountable.

It also called on the Government of National Unity and the Presidential Council to work for the immediate release of the prosecutor, holding them fully responsible for his kidnapping.
