A meeting grouping Vice President Musa Al-Koni of the Presidential Council, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbbeibah, and the First Deputy President of the High Council of State, Masoud Obaid, on Monday discussed developments in Derna after the devastating floods, which hit the city two weeks ago.

The group reviewed the work of local teams specialized in recovering bodies and their coordination with their regional and international counterparts.

Dbeibah, for his part, presented a proposal for rebuilding Derna and the areas affected by the floods, besides the government's measures to address the displacement issue.

He stressed the need for restoring services in those areas in coordination with the relevant authorities to enable the displaced to return to their homes.

The meeting, which took place at the PC' HQ also touched upon the situation in the south, including the necessity of resuming the suspended vital projects and establishing new ones to create spatial development that guarantees the region's stability, according to the PC.
