Al-Ahly Tripoli qualified for the final of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers after its valuable and difficult victory on Saturday evening against Fighters from Ivory Coast with a score of 79-76 in the semi-final match.
Al-Ahly took the lead from the beginning of the match and succeeded in ending the first period 23-19. In the second period, the situation remained the same and the first half ended in a 43-43 tie while the third period ended with Fighters leading with a score of 65-63.
During the fourth period, Fighters were able to widen the gap to seven points after three minutes with the score reaching 72-65.
Two and a half minutes before the end, Al-Ahly Tripoli scored a three-pointer, and before that, Mohammed Al-Saadi scored a double, making the score 76-74, and the match became more heated.
One minute and 14 seconds before the end of the match, Kevin Murphy scored a three-pointer, putting Al-Ahly Tripoli ahead by 79-76.
