The CEO of the Libyan Football Federation (LFF) took part in the FIFA meeting with presidents of the federations of North African states that took place last Tuesday via Skype service.

The meeting chaired by Matthias Grafstrom, Assistant Secretary-General, and Veron Musingo Umba, Director of the African and Caribbean Federations discussed the effects of the measures brought in to limit the spread of coronavirus on the sporting fixtures and players.

The talks covered several aspects related to the current quarantine stage and beyond and how to address the situation from a legal perspective.

FIFA reassured the Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF) that action will be taken to help them overcome the negative effects of this epidemic on football events.

Sporting activities within UNAF have been suspended at the local and continental level, as various governments implemented precautionary measures to protect their people from Covid-19.
