Libya's Judo team has clinched two bronze medals in the Niger Open Judo Championship that is taking place in the capital, Niamey.

The competition, which kicked off on Saturday, attracted 104 athletes from 26 countries.

Libya's Mostafa Benaissa bagged a bronze medal after defeating his three opponents from Niger before losing to the gold medal winner, Zulu from Zambia, in the semi-finals.

Rami Al-Hattab, earned Libya's second bronze in men's 66 kg, defeating Moroccan Rabih Khudair and two other athletes from Niger, but then lost to Nigerian Agbo, who won gold.

Libya's national judo team participated with four athletes in preparation for the Arab Games, which will be held in Algeria in early July.
