Tripoli-based Al-Ittihad Football Club announced that it will play its first-leg match against the Egyptian Pyramids team, for the African Confederation Cup qualifiers, in Egypt.

The club revealed in a statement that the match will be held at the Burj Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria, on the 22nd of December, while the return match will be held in Cairo at the Air Defence Stadium on the 6th of January 2021.

The statement indicated that the first-leg match was scheduled to take place at the Sfax Stadium, but the Tunisian authorities have failed to provide a definitive response, which forced the club to change its plans.

The club's management said it had studied all options, but they are facing obstacles in playing in Moroccan stadiums due to difficulty in acquiring Moroccan visas, while it seems impossible to play in Algeria owing to the Covid-19-related measures that are still firmly implemented there.
