Al-Ittihad club of Tripoli has edged closer to CAF Confederation Cup after crushing their host Miracle Bandran of the Comoros 8-0 in the first leg of the preliminary round of African Confederation Cup.
Al-Ittihad opened the scores after the break, as neither teams managed to take the lead in the first half.
Mohamed Zabia gave his team a wide lead by scoring four goals, while Salam Roma, Rabi Shadi, Abdul Ati Abbasi, and Al-Mutasim Billah Sabo finished the rout, dashing any hopes of comebacks for the Comoros team.
It was the club's biggest victory in the African football games in its history. This win, makes Al-Ittihad just a step away from securing its place in the 32nd round of the African championship.
