The Libyan Football Federation announced the postponement of the six-team group matches, which will be played in Italy, to July 01 instead of June 27, due to the incomplete readiness for hosting some teams.

The Federation said in a statement on Monday that despite the full arrangements regarding the start of the six-team group on the specified date, the readiness to host the teams and some other organizational matters had not been completed by the host: Italy. The statement added that the teams will travel on June 29, with the matches starting on July 01.

The six-team group matches were scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 27, with the match between Al-Nasr and Al-Sweihli, and end on Tuesday, July 9, with the match between Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Ahly Benghazi, according to the table announced last Saturday.

The six-team group round is played in a one-legged stage with the participation of the teams of Al-Ahly Benghazi, Al-Nasr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahly Tripoli, Al-Madina and Al-Sweihli. The team with the most points is the one that will be crowned champion of the Libyan Premier League.
