The Libyan Post Telecommunications and Information Technology Company (LPTIC) has signed a partnership agreement with the United States' technology company Cisco, which is one of the largest international companies in the field of communications and information.

According to LPTIC, the agreement included the implementation of digital transformation projects and data automation in joint cooperation between the two companies, in order to develop a specific plan and timetable for the implementation of those projects.

The agreement also included identifying certain projects to achieve the 2025 vision of the LPTIC (smart citizen, smart companies, smart cities, smart countries); in addition to promoting the services provided by telecommunications companies to all Libyan sectors.

The two sides also agreed to train specialists on the latest developments reached by Cisco by providing the Libyan Academy of Communications and Information Technology with accredited training courses.

LPTIC also said that the agreement was strategic and aimed to familiarize with the cutting-edge technologies that benefit the telecommunications sector in the Libyan market, and to provide the best telecommunications services through LPTIC, as well as its subsidiaries, whether for mobile and Internet services or connectivity networks.
