Arab media

The Council of Arab Ministers of Information approved Wednesday a proposal to establish the "Arab Institute for Peace Press" with its HQ in Tripoli.

The decision was passed during the 53rd session of the Council, in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, in the presence of Libya's Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi.

A statement by the Hakomitna platform said the bloc also agreed to Libya joining the Executive Office of the Council.

The resolution authorizes Libya to host the 100th meeting of the Standing Committee for Arab Media and the 18th session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information early next year.

Libya hosted a meeting for the Council, in Tripoli, in December 2022, after being named the capital of Arab media.
