Libya's Ministry of Tourism participated in the 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization, which wrapped up in the Uzbek city of Samarkand on Friday.

Acting Minister of Tourism Nasr al-Din al-Fazzani, who headed the delegation, highlighted that Libya was one of the founding countries of the organization.

He expressed his country's desire to enhance its role in the organization and draw on the group's experience in the fields of investment and human resources.

In his address, Al-Fazzani presented his government's efforts to develop tourism in Libya, including the (Return Of Life) scheme launched in 2021.

The three-day assembly featured the participation of 150 ministers from around the world, as well as delegates of member states, institutions, and organizations, who debated on ways to develop the tourism sector within the member states.
