Derna police has arrested a person for attempting to kill his mother using poison.
Derna Security Directorate received a complaint from a citizen stating that his cousin had poisoned his mother with palm dates, and as a result, the mother was transferred to the hospital.
The judicial officer accompanied by a patrol, moved to the hospital, where the poisoned mother was examined and questioned.
After confirming the complaint, the son of the poisoned mother was arrested.
After questioning him, he pleaded guilty, stating that he had taken drugs.
All legal measures were taken against him, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution on charges of attempted murder and taking hallucinogenic pills.
